Volvo Canada has disclosed the complete pricing details for its upcoming 2025 EX30, the automaker's first compact premium all-electric SUV. Originally revealed in Milan, Italy, this June, the EX30 becomes the fourth electric vehicle in Volvo's rapidly evolving lineup.
The EX30 comes with a competitive starting price of $53,700, positioning it alongside internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs in terms of affordability. Buyers will have the option of customizing their vehicle's exterior with one of five available color schemes: Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, or Onyx Black. These range from bold and playful to more reserved and elegant hues.
Inside the cabin, the EX30 showcases the essence of Scandinavian minimalist design. Using a mix of natural and recycled leather-free materials, it offers four interior design choices—Mist, Pine, Indigo, and Breeze. These can be further accented with one of five ambient light themes, each inspired by the landscapes of Sweden.
From a features standpoint, the EX30 does not compromise on safety, a cornerstone of Volvo's brand identity. The vehicle is equipped with a Driver Alert System with Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Door Opening Alert, and Front & Rear Collision Mitigation as standard offerings. Moreover, the EX30 aims for a reduced carbon footprint, aligning with Volvo's goal to become a fully electric car manufacturer by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
Technology is another strong suit for the EX30. It comes standard with Google built-in, which features native Google Maps and Google Assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also standard. The vehicle is available with several advanced safety features, including options such as a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, a panoramic roof, and 19” wheels for those upgrading to the 'Plus' package. The 'Ultra' package takes it a step further with next-gen Pilot Assist, a 360-degree camera with 3D view, and Park Pilot Assist.
When it comes to powertrain options, the EX30 provides two electric propulsion choices, tailored to fit a range of driving needs. With an EPA estimated range of up to 442 kilometres, the Single Motor Extended Range variant is available in three package levels: Core, Plus, and Ultra, starting at $53,700, $56,900, and $59,100 respectively. A more performance-oriented Twin Motor option is also available in Plus and Ultra packages, priced at $59,900 and $62,100.
Anticipating the chilly Canadian winters, all EX30 models will feature a standard heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Volvo Canada has announced that customers can configure and reserve their EX30 starting this fall, with deliveries expected to begin next summer.
