Picking a 2026 Volvo EX30 trim in Ontario means deciding which comfort and driver assistance upgrades are worth it to you. The lineup runs from Core through Plus and Ultra, with the Cross Country rounding things out for buyers who want a more rugged, all-weather profile.
Every EX30 shares the same 475 km electric range and an 11 kW onboard charger, so the powertrain doesn’t change the range equation between grades. The real decisions live in the cabin, the driver assistance suite, and the drivetrain.
Four trims make up the 2026 range: Core, Plus, Ultra, and Cross Country. Core is rear-wheel drive only. Plus and Ultra add AWD as an option. Cross Country is built on the Ultra feature set with AWD standard and all-season tires fitted from the factory on 19-inch wheels.
Core is the trim to choose when you want a fully capable EX30 without paying for features you won’t use. Advanced Sensing Technology, Blind Spot Information System, adaptive cruise control, one-pedal drive, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch centre display with Google built-in all come standard. That’s a strong safety and tech baseline.
The trade-offs are clear: one-zone climate control, a High Performance audio system instead of Harman Kardon, front USB-C ports only, and no wireless phone charging. The rear park camera is included, but the power tailgate and panoramic roof are not. AWD is off the table entirely at this grade.
Anyone who regularly carries rear-seat passengers needing USB-C access, or who wants the panoramic roof or Harman Kardon sound, will find the jump to Plus closes all of those gaps.
Plus adds the features that change daily commuting most noticeably: a fixed panoramic roof, two-zone climate control with an air quality system, Harman Kardon Premium Sound, wireless phone charging, front and rear USB-C ports, a power tailgate, auto-dimmed mirrors, high-level interior illumination, and ambience themes. AWD becomes available at this grade.
The dual-zone climate alone matters if two people with different temperature preferences share the car regularly. Harman Kardon is a genuine audio step up, not just a badge change. Wool Blend upholstery options, however, only appear at Ultra.
Ultra’s clearest additions are in the driver assistance suite: Park Pilot Assist, a 360° camera with 3D view, Pilot Assist, Lane Change Assist, and low-speed autobrake at the rear. If tight urban parking is a daily reality, the 360° camera and Park Pilot Assist shift from nice-to-have to genuinely practical.
Ultra also unlocks optional Wool Blend upholstery in two variants, optional Flax decor, and optional transparent air vent decor. AWD remains optional, same as Plus.
Cross Country brings the Ultra feature set, AWD as standard, and all-season tires on 19-inch wheels fitted from the factory. The 12.3-inch centre display and 5-seat capacity carry over from the rest of the lineup. For Ontario drivers who want a factory-ready all-weather configuration without selecting AWD as an add-on, Cross Country answers that directly.

Choose Core if you want a well-equipped EX30 at the entry grade and don’t need dual-zone climate or Harman Kardon sound. The safety and tech coverage at this level is solid.
Choose Plus if dual-zone climate, the panoramic roof, or Harman Kardon are priorities. The cabin character changes more between Core and Plus than anywhere else in the lineup.
Choose Ultra if you park in tight city spaces daily and want the 360° camera and Park Pilot Assist to take the stress out of it. Optional Wool Blend upholstery is only available here.
Choose Cross Country if you want AWD and all-season tires built in from the factory, without configuring them as options.
The 2026 Volvo EX30 gives Ontario drivers a straightforward path from a capable entry grade to a fully loaded advanced-safety configuration, with Cross Country serving the all-weather buyer at the top of the range.
