We’ve come to a time in the evolution of the automobile where our cars are more connected than they ever have been, more of an extension of our lives than they have ever been, and that’s great.
Here’s the thing though; WifI hotspots, Bluetooth, apps – in can all be a little overwhelming both for first time car buyers and seasoned vets alike. So, in the interest of showing that you needn’t be overwhelmed by in-car tech when it comes time to buy your new Volvo, here are a few quick ways the new Google Built-in on-board tech can make Volvo ownership that much better.
What is Google Built-in?
It’s pretty simple, really; you can think of Google Built-in as a way to essentially allow the car to do what your tablet, mobile device or personal computer can do – you log in to your Google account in your car and just as it is with your more traditional devices, you have access to a number of Google account services. All you need is your phone in your pocket and your login info and you’re good to go.
Google Assistant
One of the top features is Google Assistant. As soon as you start your car, your Google Assistant is at the ready and can help you plan your trip, read the news headlines, tell you the weather or even read the most pertinent entries on your Google Calendar. This way, you’re never more than a voice command away from your contact list or destination address.
Entertainment
Your Volvo’s Google Built-in tech can also access your Google Play Music account. So whatever you may have been listening to during your morning workout will pick right up again once you enter your car. Of course, if that’s not what you were hoping to accompany you on your drive, you can ask Google to play a different playlist.
In-car amenities
More than just accessing the Google cloud, Google Built-in can also control a number of traditional in-car features such as changing the ambient temperature, defrosting your windshield or activating your seat warmers.
These and many more features are available with Google Built-in; please pay us a visit and one of our experts can take you through all the advanced features that make your life with your Volvo that much easier.
