The changes for 2023
The 2023 Volvo V60 is largely the same as the 2022 model, but it benefits from a number of changes that make it more modern than ever before. For example, the 2023 V60 receives the new Android Automotive infotainment system that has been introduced in other Volvo models over the last few years. This new system brings a number of advanced capabilities, including the Google Assistant which can be used to control a large number of features and even compatible home appliances through voice commands only. This new infotainment is also accompanied by a new instrument cluster design that gives a more modern look to the dashboard of the V60. Outside, new wheels and revised bumpers make for a subtle new appearance that is distinctive while keeping the esthetic qualities of the previous V60 model years.
The powertrains
Under the hood, the 2023 Volvo V60 continues to offer the same choices as in 2022, which means that every powertrain is a hybrid system of some kind. The standard engine is the B6, which combines a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system in order to offer 300 horsepower and restrained fuel consumption. For drivers who want even more performance and efficiency, the 2023 Volvo V60 Recharge is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that uses the same gasoline engine paired with stronger motors and a larger battery to deliver 462 horsepower and up to 64 kilometres of fully electric range.
The practicality
Another detail that hasn’t changed on the 2023 Volvo V60 is the legendary practicality of Volvo wagons. Despite its performance and its elegant design, the V60 is a very practical vehicle that can be used to carry all sorts of cargo due to its large load area that offers 657 litres of space with all of the seats in use or up to 1,441 litres with the rear seats folded down. A variety of Volvo accessories are also offered to make the V60 even more practical.
