The motors are hooked up to a 78 kWh battery pack that is strategically placed in the floor to provide drivers with a low centre of gravity, thus ensuring optimal cornering capabilities at low and high speeds.
Additionally, the motors channel their efforts to Volvo’s unique AWD system which can sense the road and adapt performance accordingly. This further improves handling capabilities of the C40, but also gives it an edge on slippery surfaces in the winter.

This versatility is carried over inside, where occupants can take advantage of plenty of personal room. Behind the liftgate, occupants will find up to 413 litres. Once the rear seating area is folded down, the C40 unleashes upwards of 1,200 litres of volume.
