The entire Volvo lineup has received a Top Safety Pick Plus award, something no other automaker has ever accomplished. It is another testament to the safety of one of the pioneering automakers in this field, a brand that has built its reputation on providing safety to its owners.
In total, 15 Volvo models earned the Top Safety Pick Plus award including the entire lineup offered at Volvo of Toronto. Handed out by the IIHS, the Top Safety Pick Plus award is the most coveted safety award in North America, and it isn’t easy to get. For a vehicle to qualify, it must pass every single crash test with the highest grade possible while also receiving top marks for driver assistance technologies and headlights.
“Regardless of body style, engine or trim, every Volvo offers innovative protection in a crash.” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO of Volvo Car USA. “We are proud that IIHS has recognized this by awarding a Top Safety Pick Plus to every vehicle we produce today. No other company has been awarded this honor across all carlines.”
