It is one of the most frequently asked questions we receive from buyers interested in an electric Volvo vehicle. Range is an important consideration, but charging time, one could argue, is even more important.
You want an electric vehicle with a lot of range, but you also want to make sure that your electric vehicle can charge quickly. You also want it to offer quick charging capability so that when you are out on the road for a long journey, you don't have to wait too long before heading back out on the road.
The 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge certainly delivers in that area. It can charge from 20% to 90% in 40 minutes on a 150-kW charger. On a 50-kW charger, it can charge to 90% in around two hours.
If you are charging at home, the XC40 Recharge takes between eight and 10 hours to fully charge with an 11-kW wall charger. This applies to the new Volvo C40 Recharge as well.
